About the project
Goals
This information resource (internet site) was created to collect and publish information about the life, miracles and worldwide veneration of the 20th century American Orthodox ascetic Hieromonk Seraphim of Platina (Rose). It includes:
- preparation of materials for his canonization (declaration as a saint) in accordance with the tradition of the Orthodox Church.
- popularization of his life and teachings as a modern example of righteousness and as a guidance for salvation.
Informational development and website promotion
This internet resource (site) is under ongoing development. With that consideration it is relevant to attract believers and specialists on voluntary basis to further replenish its content. The following general and specific tasks have been identified:
General tasks
1. Distribution and popularization of this information resource to the attention of believers with the purpose of upcoming inquiry of the possible glorification of Hieromonk Seraphim of Platina as a Saint in selected Local Churches in accordance with canonical norms.
2. Translation of this site material to enhance the availability and accessibility of the information to other languages of Local Orthodox Churches, and main spoken languages: Georgian, Serbian, Romanian, Greek, German, French.
3. Research and publication of new validated testimonies of Divine grace manifestation (miracles) through the prayers to the hieromonk Seraphim Platinsky (Rose), that are not described on the pages of this site.
4. Research and preservation of new testimonies of life and teachings of Hieromonk Seraphim Platinsky (Rose).
